"AC Milan will have another player to call upon in Florence this weekend, with Christopher Nkunku returning to training today. There has been a lot said about Nkunku recently, and a lot of it regards his future at Milan. Right now, it seems that he is a candidate to depart the club. However, there is seemingly no interest from his side in an exit."
"With two goals in Serie A so far, the attacker has been rather underwhelming, especially considering the price that was paid for him in the summer. After that brace against Verona, though, he has been absent with an injury. The least ideal situation, with him hoping to continue in his fine form. Nevertheless, his return to the pitch is now visible."
Christopher Nkunku returned to training at Milanello today after following a personalised training plan for the past week. He had been out injured since scoring a brace against Verona and has registered two Serie A goals so far. The summer signing has been underwhelming relative to his transfer cost and now faces pressure to justify the investment. Fenerbahce have reduced interest in a move, and there appears to be no desire from Nkunku to leave. He trained with players who did not play or played little, while others completed recovery work, and upcoming fixtures may provide playing opportunities.
