JetBlue has around 50 Airbus A220 aircraft designed for routes that require more than a regional jet. Each A220 has a capacity of 140 seats and a range of 3,800 miles. The five-abreast seating layout minimizes middle seats, providing a more comfortable experience for passengers. In June, JetBlue commenced its longest A220 route from Boston to Vancouver, approximately 2,500 miles. This route was previously serviced by larger A321 jets until last September. The A220 competes with smaller versions of Boeing 737 and Embraer E195-E2 jets.
