Ballard has a new CEO: it's former Verdagy's head Marty Neese - Sustainable Bus

Marty Neese has been appointed as the President and CEO of Ballard Power Systems effective July 7th, 2025. He previously worked at Verdagy and has expertise in product standardization, cost reduction, and operations. Ballard Power Systems is a leader in fuel cell manufacturing, providing hydrogen fuel cell engines for several major European bus operators. The company signed a contract with Solaris Bus & Coach for 1,000 hydrogen fuel cell engines to be delivered through 2027, and operates over 1,700 fuel cell buses worldwide. Additionally, Ballard is developing a new Gigafactory in Texas with a significant investment and government grant to support fuel cell production.
