Bengaluru - Mumbai Vande Bharat Sleeper Train: Route, Travel Time, and What to Expect - redBus Blog
"The Bengaluru-Mumbai Vande Bharat Sleeper is expected to be India's second Vande Bharat sleeper service, designed specifically for long-distance overnight journeys. It aims to significantly cut travel time while offering modern, high-comfort travel."
"Currently, Uday Express, the primary rail link between the two cities, takes about 22 hours to complete the journey. The proposed Vande Bharat is set to cover the distance in about 17 hours, putting rail travel much closer to bus travel times."
"The Vande Bharat Sleeper is designed for overnight comfort and modern travel, featuring fully air-conditioned sleeper coaches, ergonomic berths for better sleep, and advanced suspension for smoother rides."
The new Vande Bharat Sleeper service will connect Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus with Bengaluru's KSR station, offering a travel time of approximately 16-17 hours. This service aims to enhance comfort and reduce travel time compared to the current Uday Express, which takes about 22 hours. The sleeper train will feature fully air-conditioned coaches, ergonomic berths, and modern amenities. The service is approved but the final timetable and launch date are yet to be announced.
