The Shannon Road Pedestrian and Bikeway Improvement Project is entering its final phase, adding curb, gutter, sidewalks, planter strips, and bike lanes. The construction will create flatter slopes and a smoother surface for all users. It involves roadway excavation, asphalt overlay, and new striping for Class II buffered bike lanes. Traffic lane closures will occur, but detours will be available. No Parking signs will be posted prior to construction, which will take place Monday through Friday. Concurrently, La Pena de la Unidad cultural event will showcase various artistic expressions and handcrafted goods.
