Solaris has announced a new contract for supplying 81 electric buses to VR Sverige, intended for suburban routes in Stockholm. This follows a significant order of 89 units for Nobina, further expanding the electric bus fleet in the city. With previous deliveries included, Stockholm will operate a total of 225 Solaris Urbino 15 LE electric buses by 2026. The Urbino 15 LE model, introduced in 2020, is aimed at urban and suburban transport with a focus on sustainability, accommodating intercity routes efficiently as well. deliveries are set for the second quarter of 2026.
