Tesla offers tasty Supercharging incentive as Q3 push continues
Briefly

After nearly two years of industrial action, Swedish labor union IF Metall is softening its position in its dispute with Tesla. Although a formal collective agreement remains the ideal goal, IF Metall is now considering alternative solutions. Despite the protracted 600-day strike, which included strategic actions by both sides, the number of active strikers has been limited. IF Metall chair Marie Nilsson indicated that the union is willing to explore options such as embedding industry-standard terms in employment contracts or transferring Tesla’s operations to a firm with an existing collective agreement.
Marie Nilsson stated that while the preferred outcome remains a signed agreement, "other alternative solutions" are now on the table as IF Metall softens its stance.
IF Metall has been engaging in strategic moves during the strike, including blocking Tesla's access to license plates by targeting mail delivery, while Tesla adapted to continue operations.
With the strike lasting over 600 days, the number of active strikers has been relatively small, around 60, as noted in reports regarding the situation.
Nilsson expressed that overall, IF Metall is open to exploring other options beyond a collective agreement, including embedding industry-standard terms in employment contracts.
