Digital wallets now account for more than a third of global consumer spending and are on course to reach roughly a $28 trillion value by 2030. Even now, Apple already handles 9.5 trillion transactions for more than 800 million customers, generating an estimated $2.7 billion in 2024, according to Capital One Shopping Research.
For the first time, F1 fans in the U.S. will be able to watch the live race simultaneously on both Apple TV and Netflix. Netflix subscribers will be able to stream the full race weekend - including practice, qualifying, and the Grand Prix itself on May 24 - live on the platform.
Negative consumer reaction to Liquid Glass has been overstated by some members of the Apple enthusiast media ecosystem, and Apple's data shows that iOS 26 adoption rates are roughly in line with those of the last few years. But the Mac's foray into Liquid Glass has drawn particular ire from longtime users (developers Jeff Johnson and Norbert Heger have been tracking persistently weird Finder and window resizing behavior, to pick two concrete examples, and Daring Fireball's John Gruber has encouraged users not to upgrade).
Apple's new affordable 13-inch MacBook is rumored to feature a low-power A18 processor -- the same chip found in the iPhone 16 Pro -- rather than the typical M-series processors used in MacBooks. This would allow it to keep costs low, particularly if paired with more modest hardware such as a less flashy display and a smaller form factor.
Technology companies are no longer viewed as distant, purely functional businesses. They sit at the center of entertainment, communication, and daily life, which naturally brings them closer to celebrity culture. The companies commonly grouped under the term FAANG, Facebook (Meta), Apple, Amazon, Netflix, and Google (Alphabet), function not only as technology providers but also as cultural platforms.
6G networks will be built on the foundation of 3GPP standards, complemented by O-RAN Alliance specifications, to enable open and globally scalable platforms for innovation. As work in 3GPP progresses, with first implementable specifications targeted for 2029 and commercial readiness expected around 2030, early collaborations with device and chipset partners like Apple and MediaTek are crucial for building the 6G ecosystem and ensuring network and device interoperability.
The result, shaped by industrial designer Jerry Manock and powered by Wozniak's engineering genius, was the Apple II: a smooth, warm-beige enclosure that suggested domesticity rather than machinery. It belonged on a desk the way a telephone did. That calculated approachability helped sell millions of units across sixteen years of production.
YouTube has announced two big additions to its $8-a-month Premium Lite -- the ability to download videos and the option to keep videos playing in the background for "most videos." Previously, these were reserved for the $14-a-month Premium option.
Wireless charging has come a long way, but cord clutter is still an inevitability, especially in high-traffic charging areas like a bedside table or a work-from-home setup. Thankfully, there are tons of options on the market to cut cords and let you truly maximize the wireless capabilities of gear like smartphones, smartwatches, and earbuds. And if you're an Apple user like me, you may be in need of a multi-charger that perfectly powers Apple's mobile trifecta: your iPhone, your Apple Watch, and your AirPods.
First, we got iPhones in Hermès orange, and now we might get them in Louboutin red. According to 's Mark Gurman, Apple is already mulling over what the next premium colorway will be for its iPhone Pro models. Apple's satellite features were originally designed for emergencies, allowing iPhone users to contact emergency services when cellular and Wi-Fi coverage is unavailable. With recent versions of iOS, Apple has expanded those capabilities to include sending and receiving messages via satellite. This makes it possible to stay in touch with friends and family from remote locations where traditional networks do not reach, such as hiking trails, rural areas or offshore locations.
The six survivors used the iPhone's emergency SOS feature to help first responders find them as they waited under a tarp and discovered some of the bodies, according to the Nevada county sheriff. Apple's feature, introduced in 2022, allows users to text law enforcement, even if there's no cell service or wifi by connecting the phone to a satellite. First responders reached the skiers' location and learned of the six survivors based on conversations held through the feature,
There's no denying the usefulness of battery packs, especially those designed with MagSafe technology. They offer an endurance boost for your devices when you're on the go, in an emergency, or traveling abroad. But let me address the elephant in the room: they're often dull in appearance, uninspiring, and, dare I say, ugly. I'm talking, thick, brick-like, boxy battery packs in the same old boring colors (though a few brands have released some colored versions here and there) that look about as
A new "Playlist Playground" feature will let Apple Music subscribers generate playlists with text prompts, and native support for video podcasts is coming to the Podcasts app. The Creator Studio version of the Freeform drawing and collaboration app is also available in the 26.4 updates, allowing subscribers to access stock images from Apple's Content Hub and to insert AI-generated images.

Users can also switch to a horizontal version of the podcast and download videos to watch offline. The move comes as video podcasting continues to gain popularity. Edison Research recently revealed that 51% of the U.S. population has consumed a video podcast, and that 37% consume video podcasts monthly.
Perhaps one of the most requested features for Tesla vehicles by owners is the addition of Apple CarPlay. It sounds like the company wants to bring the popular UI to its cars, but there are a few bottlenecks preventing it from doing so. The biggest reason why CarPlay has not made its way to Teslas yet might shock you. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Tesla is still working on bringing CarPlay to its vehicles. There are two primary reasons why Tesla has not done it quite yet: App compatibility issues and, most importantly, there are incredibly low adoption rates of iOS 26.
Apple Inc. said on Monday it is holding a product launch on March 4, with the company preparing to announce several new devices in the coming weeks. The iPhone maker invited media to gatherings in New York, Shanghai and London, saying it is holding an in-person experience. The invitation implies a more low-key showcase than the typical launches held at the company's campus in Cupertino, California.
Apple ( NASDAQ: AAPL | AAPL Price Prediction) closed at $255.78 on February 13, down 7.95% from the previous week's $277.86. Yet Wall Street analysts still see the stock climbing to an average target of $292.15, implying 10% upside from current levels. That disconnect raises a question: is the market pricing in risks analysts are missing, or did the selloff create an entry point?
Apple is starting to test end-to-end encrypted (E2EE) RCS messages with the developer beta of iOS 26.4 released Monday. Apple announced plans last year to support the feature, and once fully available, it will let iPhone and Android users send encrypted RCS messages to each other across platforms. However, with this initial implementation, Apple is only testing RCS encryption between Apple devices.
