Apple's Journal app is finally coming to other platforms
Briefly

After being exclusive to iPhone for two years, Apple's Journal app is set to arrive on Mac and iPad with the upcoming macOS 26 and iPadOS 26 updates. Journal helps users document daily activities with images, videos, and voice memos. The Mac version allows for lengthy journal entries and maps for geographic tracking, while the iPad version supports handwriting and drawings, making digital journaling more tactile and visually appealing. Though developer betas are currently available, public access will come next month, with a full launch anticipated in the fall.
Journal comes to Mac, making it easy to capture and write about everyday moments and special events when inspiration strikes.
On Mac, it's easy to type long, thoughtful entries and view them on a map.
Users can keep multiple journals for various aspects of life, which are all synced across Apple devices.
Being able to use the app on a larger screen will also likely feel closer to using traditional paper journals.
