Safari 26.0 adds 75 new features, 3 deprecations, and 171 other improvements, representing 12% more features and 59% more bug fixes than the WWDC announcement. Anchor Positioning provides a new layout mechanism with position-area and the anchor() function for aligning elements and building responsive menus and tooltips. New capabilities include Scroll-driven animations, High Dynamic Range images, the HTML <model> element, the Digital Credentials API, SVG icon support, WebGPU, and WebKit integration in SwiftUI. Progressive Web App support now enables sites as web apps on iOS and iPadOS. visionOS expands immersive media support with spatial videos, Apple Immersive Video, and 180°, 360° & Wide FOV videos. Users can report website issues from Safari, and developer tools such as Web Inspector, Web Extensions, Content Blockers, Lockdown Mode, Device Management, and WebKit APIs receive updates.
