Claude charts a new course with charts, of course

Anthropic has launched a beta feature enabling Claude to generate interactive visualizations including charts, diagrams, and custom visualizations directly within conversations. Unlike image generation models, Claude creates these visualizations by generating JavaScript code using Chart.js, HTML, and CSS to produce temporary, on-demand mini-applications. Users can request visualizations like compound interest calculators with interactive sliders and modify them in real-time as conversations progress. This capability, previously shown as "Imagine with Claude," eliminates the need to search online for visualization tools. The generated visualizations are designed as temporary conversational aids rather than persistent artifacts, allowing dynamic interaction and customization based on user requests.
