New mixed media sculptures feature a combination of 3D elements and 2D painted planes, creating a novel artistic expression. The artist expresses excitement in discovering concepts that emerge spontaneously during the creative process. Scrap wood collected from a nearby woodworking shop inspires this creativity and leads to the exploration of new themes and techniques. Although the artist has a long history with sculpture, it serves as a complementary process to their painting, which has been their primary focus throughout their career, yet sculpture remains a compelling and persistent motivation.

When I was a cub scout we were making dioramas and I made a swamp with frogs and turtles and it seemed real to me.
