Otter.ai wants to bring agents to all third party systems - with transcription just the start

Otter.ai introduced agentic AI features and autonomous capabilities to connect the app with third-party applications and streamline project-management workflows. A new public API enables developers to connect Otter data with enterprise systems such as CRM platforms. Integrations with Salesforce, HubSpot, Asana and Atlassian support bidirectional data flow so Otter Agents can use CRM and project data during meetings or export Otter data back to enterprise systems. Agents can automatically populate Asana projects with action items from Zoom discussions. Otter built a dedicated model context protocol (MCP) server to connect agents with AI platforms such as Claude and ChatGPT, with admin controls governing what data is passed to third-party tools. Agent capabilities include taking screenshots of slides and extracting slide content for searchable transcripts, plus advanced chat that can analyze many recordings and enable real-time interaction with transcripts.
