Meta AI, launched by Mark Zuckerberg, is a chatbot app featuring a unique 'Discover' feed that displays user conversations and images publicly. Users often share intimate, personal details—ranging from grief and financial issues to casual inquiries—without apparent awareness of the feed's public nature. This has led to observations of the feed being distressing to read, raising questions about user awareness and privacy. The app, unlike others focusing on complex tasks, emphasizes casual chatting, yet the content shared has evoked negative reactions from observers.
Meta AI's public stream is perhaps the most depressing feed I've come across in a long time. It's full of people sharing intimate information about themselves.
I'm not sure why someone would want to share some of the things I've read - nor am I sure why anyone who's not a nosy weirdo would want to look at a feed of strangers' interactions.
