2025 "Origami Palooza" Festival in SF's Japantown

Origami Palooza 2025 takes place Sunday, August 24, 2025, from 11am to 4pm at Japan Center East Mall and Hotel Kabuki Sakura Room in San Francisco's Japantown. The general event is free and welcomes folders of all ages and skill levels, with paper provided. Highlights include master classes and lectures by Robert J. Lang and John Collins; master classes require pre-registration and a $10 fee per Robert Lang class. Robert Lang will teach two non-beginner models and give a lecture on origami, science, and math. John Collins will lead folding sessions and aircraft folding challenges. Additional local teachers will offer hands-on sessions and a competition will award prizes.
