Miniature Worlds presents compressed landscapes by Thomas Bewick alongside creators of small worlds including Beatrix Potter at Laing Art Gallery from 18 October to 28 February. Egypt: Influencing British Design 1775-2025 traces ancient Egypt's influence on British culture at Sir John Soane's Museum until 18 January. Robert MacBryde and Robert Colquhoun feature at Charleston in Lewes until 12 April. El Anatsui shows new works in wood at Goodman Gallery and October Gallery. Frieze London combined champagne excess with striking contemporary artworks and notable moments.
