The Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (BWAC) is launching its Spring Show on April 26, 2025, at its venue on Van Brunt St. The show includes four exhibitions: 'Animalia,' which investigates art's long-standing fascination with animals; 'In the Threaded Visions,' exploring the interplay between art and fashion; and 'Order/Chaos,' which examines the relationship between these two seemingly opposing concepts. Notably, a cat adoption event will accompany the 'Animalia' exhibit. This season's exhibitions reflect artists' creativity, inspired by the natural rebirth of spring.
Order and chaos are often superficially considered opposites, yet both ideas depend upon the other for definition. Artists explore this relationship in our latest exhibition.
Throughout history, artists have depicted fashion in their work, capturing trends and styles that tell stories of class, power, and innovation, creating a dialogue with fashion designers.
