A24 will reopen the historic Cherry Lane Theatre in the West Village in September after a two-year closure. The venue will host a "Red Door Reopening" week from September 8–14 featuring one-night-only performances across film, theater, comedy, and music. Notable participants include Spike Lee, Sofia Coppola, Jodie Foster, Michael Shannon, Brandi Carlile, Jerrod Carmichael, and Malcolm Gladwell. The schedule includes screenings, staged readings, stand-up, and conversations. The week concludes with a public block party on Commerce Street in Greenwich Village from 3pm to 6pm on September 14. Tickets are priced at $59 and will be sold via a 48-hour lottery.
