"You are entering a space. This space is for those who feel scared to speak freely over fears / Censorship / Violence / Government retaliation / Cacellation [sic] / You will encounter difficult topics / You will encounter difficult feeling / In entering this space you agree to / Share your opinion / Listen to the opinion of others / You may feel uncomfortable / You may feel resistance / Feel free to leave / Feel free to share."
"I complied with the request to look!!! and approached a series of unframed small-format ink drawings hung atop the spray-painted monsters. Like the wall paintings, they depicted nightmarish creatures, their mouths enormous, some with black dots for eyes, others with eyes wide as saucers, as though in shock, their features contorted. One such figure had the words pro life emblazoned on his big chest: an avowed abortion opponent."
A wall text at the entrance sets explicit terms and conditions, inviting people who fear speaking freely and listing risks like censorship, violence, government retaliation, and 'Cacellation' [sic], while asking visitors to share opinions and listen. Spray-painted red-and-black walls show monsters and loud slogans — look!!!, i cant trust you, i cant do this, i cant even protect myself. Small unframed ink drawings depict nightmarish, contorted creatures with speech bubbles naming pro life, gun violence, and dehumanizing statements such as 'its not a war crime because i dont see them as human.' The works foreground misogyny, censorship, trans rights, and war crimes.
