jacky tsai illustrates world's first fully art-painted rocket launched into space
Briefly

A collaborative project between artist Jacky Tsai and aerospace company LandSpace led to the successful launch of the Zhuque-2 Enhanced rocket, the first fully art-painted rocket to enter orbit. Measuring 50 meters, it features artwork inspired by the Chinese legend of 'Chang'e Flying to the Moon,' using aerospace-grade paints. This initiative, which combines art with engineering, ensured that the vivid designs endured the launch's extreme conditions. This groundbreaking mission showcases the fusion of contemporary art with advanced aerospace technology, creating a significant milestone in both fields.
This marks the first instance of a complete rocket body being treated as a unified visual artwork and deployed in a successful space mission.
To witness my artwork launched into space on a real rocket is one of the most emotional moments of my career.
