"A new art fair with a distinctive approach and locale is joining the international art world for the spring calendar: Art Cologne Palma Mallorca. While Mallorca is often framed as an idyllic Mediterranean escape, it has quietly developed into a vibrant art hub, and the fair builds on that momentum, positioning the island as a crossroads for international and regional art scenes."
"Taking place from April 9-12, 2026, at the Palau de Congressos in Palma de Mallorca-designed by Spanish architect Francisco Mangado-the event marks a bold expansion and counterpart to Art Cologne, the world's oldest art fair still in operation, as well as Art Palma Contemporani, the association of contemporary art galleries in the city. Ideally situated in the Western Mediterranean, the island is not only known for its more than 300 days of sun but is also easily accessible from mainland Europe,"
Art Cologne Palma Mallorca takes place April 9–12, 2026 at the Palau de Congressos in Palma de Mallorca, a building designed by Spanish architect Francisco Mangado. The fair presents a dual-concept structure: Gran Saló features traditional gallery booths with curated presentations, while Parkour invites galleries to work directly with the venue's architecture through site-responsive and immersive formats. The event brings together 88 galleries and non-profits from 20 countries, including 26 from Germany. Mallorca's Western Mediterranean location and over 300 days of sun make the island easily accessible from Spain, France, and Italy, supporting international and cross-cultural exchange.
