At the 2025 UIT Festival in Tartu, SKULL studio installed 'The Floor is lava soft!', a temporary intervention that turned a car park into an unexpected playground. The collective replaced asphalt and parked cars with straw bales to soften the urban landscape and invite tactile interaction. Passersby were encouraged to touch, jump, play, sit, gather, or pause, blurring boundaries between everyday infrastructure and spaces of play. Founded in 2020 by Matěj Hájek and Bet Orten, SKULL studio operates as a laboratory combining art, design, and technology.
