Didier Fuentes performed well against the Royals, striking out four and walking one in four innings. He may return to the Gwinnett rotation as a starter later this season. Martin Perez, who did not make the Opening Day roster, will either start against the Athletics or take on a role similar to Fuentes' recent performance. Perez has a career line of 100/103/107 over more than 1,600 innings and has been a generic fifth starter for the past three years.
