Spain hit by mobile network outage nearly one month on from power blackout
Briefly

Spain faced a significant mobile network blackout affecting major providers like Vodafone, O2, Orange, and Movistar. The outage, which started at 5 am, rendered customers unable to make calls or access mobile data. The disruption was attributed to a network update by Telefónica that inadvertently affected other operators, including emergency services like 112 in some regions. Telefónica acknowledged its role in the outage and is working on solutions. In response, regional governments have implemented alternatives to emergency services amidst the crisis, which follows a recent widespread power failure affecting the country.
We have done some network upgrade work which has affected some companies' fixed communication services (voice and internet).
