Eric Dier, 31, will join Ligue 1 side AS Monaco on a three-year deal after his contract expires with Bayern Munich on July 1. Dier, who made 47 appearances for Bayern and won the Bundesliga title, previously transferred permanently from Tottenham following a loan spell. Despite being offered to stay, he chose to leave the German club as a free agent until June 2028. Dier has enjoyed a notable career, earning 49 caps for England and appearing in several finals with Spurs, yet the Bundesliga title marks his first major trophy.
Dier made 47 appearances for Bayern but turned down the chance to stay at Allianz Arena and will leave as a Bundesliga champion.
In a video published on Monaco's X account, Dier stated, 'I cannot wait to get started. I'm really looking forward to wearing this shirt...'
The German title is the first trophy won by Dier, who has been capped 49 times for England.
Dier initially joined Bayern Munich on loan from Tottenham in January 2024 before signing a permanent deal last summer.
