The supervisory board was relaxed because it wanted Gordon but would not pay that level for a backup. Barcelona is paying the transfer fee in installments. Barcelona also won another LaLiga title, finishing eight points ahead of Real Madrid, while facing ongoing financial-lever and registration-rule pressures and rumored interest in Julián Álvarez.
