What to know about this year's upcoming San Francisco Beer Week
"San Francisco Beer Week is starting much later than usual this year, thanks in large part to Feb. 8's Super Bowl at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. Despite the late start, the lineup still offers a diverse array of exciting beer-focused events. Ten years ago, the last time the Super Bowl was held in the Bay Area, multinational businesses took over seemingly every restaurant and bar in every town during the week, making it difficult for our little beer week to compete."
"While the full list of events is still being finalized, so far about 100 events have already been confirmed. While the opening gala is no more, the festivities really get going on Feb. 21 with SF Beer Week Fest 2026 at Salesforce Park. Hosted by Barebottle Brewing Co., the event features unlimited tastings from at least 35 breweries, live entertainment and a commemorative glass."
SF Beer Week shifts to Feb. 20–March 1 to avoid conflict with the Feb. 8 Super Bowl at Levi's Stadium and to allow more planning time. The Bay Area Brewers Guild is currently run by a single executive director, Sayre Piotrkowski, who began last summer. About 100 events have been confirmed so far. SF Beer Week Fest 2026 will take place Feb. 21 at Salesforce Park, hosted by Barebottle Brewing Co., offering unlimited tastings from at least 35 breweries, live entertainment and a commemorative glass. Several exclusive collaboration IPAs and themed events are scheduled throughout the week.
