Tesla Germany's "Giga Train's" improved service gets rave reviews
"The shuttle goes directly to the factory site, without any transfers, which reduces the commute time for our employees by almost half,"
"definitely makes the journey easier"
"used to need two hours for the round trip from Berlin, but now it's significantly faster."
Giga Berlin's shuttle now runs six direct trips daily between Berlin Ostbahnhof and the Model Y production facility at Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg, up from one. The service goes directly to the factory without transfers and stops at Ostkreuz and Erkner. Ostdeutsche Eisenbahngesellschaft (Odeg) operates the train after replacing Niederbarnimer Eisenbahn (NEB). The shuttle remains free for all riders, including non-Tesla employees, and has been fully funded by Tesla Germany since September 2023. Employees say the service significantly reduces commute times, cutting travel time by roughly half and aligning with factory shift changes.
