Bocadillo Market, a Spanish restaurant that closed in Lincoln Park, is relocating to West Town with an emphasis on the blue-collar community. Chef James Martin aims to provide affordable meals, keeping prices under $20, while keeping takeout and delivery as priorities over dinner service. The new location will feature a menu evolving from its previous offerings, including sandwiches, coffee, and pastries. Martin also plans to include occasional pop-up events, enhancing the community's dining options and creating a more personal connection to the neighborhood.
"That's the heart of our communities, and those folks eat out quite a bit for lunch," Martin says. "That's some of the things we missed in Lincoln Park."
Bocadillo 2.0 will open in phases, hopefully debuting in early July if not before, and will focus on takeout and delivery while also hosting occasional pop-ups.
