As the Eurovision final approaches in Switzerland, Malmo has stated it may not host the event again next year if the Finnish group KAJ wins with their sauna-themed entry, "Bara bada bastu." The song, popular in both Sweden and Finland, has already topped streaming charts. Malmo's decision follows a successful event last year, but city officials, including marketing head Anna Wittgren, feel hosting such a large-scale event annually is unsustainable. Despite the cityâs pride and successful management of the previous contest, they prefer to pass hosting responsibilities to other cities.
