Crankbrothers developed the Plug-Mate tubeless tire plug insert by combining reusable tips with strip-style plugging material. The tips are plastic to avoid damaging rims, including carbon hoops. The Plug-Mate system works with almost all tire plug forks, avoiding proprietary installation tools. Crankbrothers then integrated Plug-Mate technology into Klic hand pumps rather than treating it as an add-on. The Klic HV pumps are available with or without a gauge and provide accurate pressure readings. The pump includes a quick access plug tool, valve core tool, multiple plugs, and reusable Plug Mate anchors. The pump can be used as a handle for plugging and can store the plug components.
