Tadej Pogačar, the Tour de France favorite, crashed in the final 5km of stage 11 but avoided serious injury. After touching wheels with another rider, he collided with bollards and pavement yet finished the stage with only minor injuries. Pogačar expressed that he felt okay despite being beaten up. His team manager confirmed that the crash, although concerning, resulted in no significant harm. Pogačar indicated he was angry about the circumstances of the crash as it occurred just before an important stage, but he deemed his physical condition satisfactory.
A crash causes a lot of worry, but when you crash, it could be an easy crash or a big crash. Fortunately, that one, even though it was at quite high speed, was not so damaging.
I'm quite ok. I'm a bit beaten up. Physically it's not a problem.
Unfortunately, one rider decided to follow from the left to the right side of the road, and I don't know, he didn't see me, and he just completely cut me off.
Luckily, I just have a little bit of skin off. I was scared when I saw the sidewalk that I was going with my head directly to the sidewalk.
