Trek has introduced the 7th generation of the Fuel and Fuel+ line, targeting the challenge of creating a versatile mountain bike. This model simplifies the design to a single frame that can be configured for 145mm, 150mm, or 160mm of rear-wheel travel with minimal adjustments. Consumers can easily switch between configurations with fewer parts. However, navigating the various models, build kits, and specifications may still be overwhelming for some buyers despite the simplifications made.

Rather than release a bike with overly complicated flip-chips, Trek has pared down to just one frame, which can be configured with 145, 150, or 160mm of rear-wheel travel.
While things might have been simplified with the Trek Fuel, the current offerings are wildly confusing.
