Video: Frameworks and Loctite Series "Keeping It Together" Episode 3
"There's a lot that goes into mountain bike frame development, and it's rare that consumers get to see what happens behind the scenes. Most of the time, frame design, prototyping, and testing are hidden from public view as brands attempt to keep things secret in a highly competitive market. With the "Keeping it Together" series, the team at Frameworks Racing is turning that notion on its head and providing us with an in-depth look at their development process."
"This video series has been chronicling the development of the Frameworks bonded prototype frame. Working closely with Loctite adhesives and our friends at Faction Bike Studio, Frameworks is attempting to transition from traditional welded frames to a bonded construction for rapid prototyping. A couple of months ago, episode 2 followed the team to Red Bull Hardline as they gathered and analyzed data as Asa Vermette took on the hard-hitting race course."
Frameworks Racing is transitioning from traditional welded mountain bike frame construction to bonded assembly to accelerate prototyping. The team collaborates with Loctite adhesives and Faction Bike Studio to develop bonded prototype frames. A video series titled "Keeping it Together" documents design, prototyping, and testing stages and captures real-world race data. Episode 2 gathered data at Red Bull Hardline with rider Asa Vermette, and episode 3 saw a bonded prototype raced at the U.S. Open in Killington, VT. The bonded approach aims to speed iteration and validate durability and performance under race conditions.
