Why the Stinner Romero is the Steel MTB You've Been Waiting For
"The Romero, named after the iconic Romero Canyon trail, is a meticulously engineered, American-made hybrid of steel and aluminum designed to handle everything from marathon trail days to aggressive enduro lines."
"The Front Triangle is TIG-welded from Velospec air-hardened steel, providing the natural compliance and 'liveliness' steel fans crave, while the aluminum rear ensures lateral stiffness and torsional resistance."
"Stinner uses 316L 3D-printed steel inserts to reinforce the headtube area, allowing for precise control over geometry and wall thickness in high-stress zones."
Stinner Frameworks has introduced the Romero, its inaugural full-suspension mountain bike, designed for various terrains. The bike features a steel front triangle for comfort and an aluminum rear for stiffness. It incorporates the 3VO suspension platform, enhancing ride quality. The front triangle is TIG-welded from Velospec air-hardened steel, while the swingarm is made from 6061 aluminum. The Romero is now available, with complete bikes shipping in early June.
