Clues span categories such as a sinuous Mideast entertainer, an Oscar category, a time-of-day phrase, a beaver-made stream obstruction, an actress, a 19th-century British prime minister, an Italian expression, an Oktoberfest patron, a dim sum item, a fill-in-the-blank idiom, and a description of ship spaces. A prior puzzle asked for a famous female singer whose letters rearranged to a capital and a food; the solution given was Sarah Vaughan, Havana, Sugar. A new library-themed challenge involves a volume labeled OUT TO SEA whose contents are unrelated to sailing; responses were due December 24 at 3 p.m. ET.
