Jarren Duran hit a home run, doubled, and drove in three runs to lead the Boston Red Sox to a 7-1 win over the Kansas City Royals. Willson Contreras added two hits and three RBIs. Duran finished 2-for-3 with two walks, while Isiah Kiner-Falefa went 3-for-3 with a walk. Ceddanne Rafaela and Wilyer Abreu each recorded two hits. Boston scored with a run in the second on Caleb Durbin’s single and added runs through key hits by Contreras and Duran. Garrett Whitlock pitched a scoreless eighth. Ranger Suarez allowed one run and four hits in 4 1/3 innings, while Bailey Falter gave up two runs in two innings.
