Hasbro is relocating its headquarters to Boston's Seaport
"We are thrilled that Hasbro has chosen Massachusetts as the home of its new headquarters, and we're ready to support the hundreds of jobs they will create here. We're proud to welcome this iconic company to Team Massachusetts."
"Boston's thriving business community, deep academic partnerships, and cultural vibrancy, together with our Seattle team's leadership in technology, creativity, and innovation, give Hasbro an unparalleled foundation for growth. Together, these offices will fuel the next chapter of Hasbro."
Hasbro will relocate its primary headquarters from Rhode Island to 400 Summer St. in Boston's Seaport, occupying seven floors and 265,000 square feet. The new office will house toys, board games, licensing businesses, and most corporate services, and will accommodate roughly 700 full-time employees moving by the end of 2026. Massachusetts leaders expressed support for the move and the jobs it will bring. Hasbro will continue to operate gaming and digital headquarters in Renton, Washington, where it employs over 500 people. The company cited Boston's business community, academic partnerships, and cultural vibrancy as strategic advantages. Hasbro is known for brands such as Monopoly, Dungeons & Dragons, Play-Doh, and Mr. Potato Head and previously announced layoffs during an operational streamlining.
