Adam Harrison, a 22-year-old man from Winthrop, pleaded not guilty to disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Prosecutors allege he was part of a group of more than 100 individuals riding bicycles, dirt bikes, and motorized scooters through Boston. The unauthorized parade began around 2 p.m., and during a confrontation with state police, a trooper was swarmed by the riders as he tried to block their path. Harrison was recognized by the trooper while chasing another biker, leading to his arrest, although he claims he only joined the group near the Seaport.
The unauthorized parade began around 2 p.m. when over 100 bikers rode over the Zakim Bridge and into the O'Neill Tunnel on Interstate 93 south.
A state trooper attempted to block a ramp to I-93 but was swarmed by motorcyclists and bicyclists who blocked his path, thereby intensifying the unlawful gathering.
During the pursuit of a biker who collided with his cruiser, the trooper recognized Harrison as a participant who had performed stunts in front of his cruiser.
Harrison stated he didn't engage in the highway ride but only joined the group temporarily while they passed through the Seaport.
