Malden police received alerts from other agencies about a vehicle whose driver had multiple outstanding arrest warrants. Officers attempted a stop on Main Street and Bickford Road, but the driver fled and struck an unmarked State Police cruiser. A uniformed Malden officer who exited his cruiser to help was nearly hit. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was later abandoned on Lindenwood Road in Stoneham, where both driver and passenger fled on foot. Police K-9 units searched the area, and the investigation remains active. WCVB reported the suspect faced several outstanding drug warrants and allegedly removed an electronic monitoring bracelet before fleeing.
