"As they race along the 3-mile course, rowers will pass under six bridges, which offer great vantage points for spectators but often get packed with people as the day goes on. The start line is just off the front of Boston University's DeWolfe Boathouse, which is open to spectators. After the start, the river curves quickly, so the views from the boathouse are limited. To see the start line plus more of the course itself, head to the BU Bridge."
Races run Friday through Sunday with morning starts at 7:45 a.m. and competition continuing into late afternoon on weekend days. The course spans three miles and passes under six bridges that provide popular but crowded viewing locations. The start line sits near Boston University's DeWolfe Boathouse, with broader course views available from the BU Bridge. Magazine Beach, close to the start, offers a quieter vantage and hosts the singles and doubles launches for close athlete views. River Street Bridge and Western Avenue Bridge overlook the Powerhouse Stretch, while the Weeks Footbridge presents a challenging 90-degree turn for crews.
