"This game was winnable for the B's. But with the score tied 2-2 in the third, the Mammoth took the lead with 9:23 left. After a scramble in their own end, it looked like the B's had control of the puck for the breakout. But JJ Peterka picked Marat Khusnutdinov's pocket and fed Dylan Guenther for a one-timer that beat Joonas Korpisalo for the 3-2 Utah lead."
"With the B's game sliding toward a place he didn't like, coach Marco Sturm tried to catch his team's attention Saturday into Sunday. He essentially benched David Pastrnak in the third period of Saturday's 4-1 loss in Colorado, limiting him to three shifts and none in the final 7:55. And on Sunday, he scratched second line center Casey Mittelstadt, moving Pavel Zacha to center and re-inserting Khusnutdinov back into the lineup and onto the second line."
Boston fell 3-2 to the Utah Mammoth after JJ Peterka stole the puck and fed Dylan Guenther for the go-ahead one-timer at 9:23 of the third. The Bruins had a late power play when Barrett Hayton tripped David Pastrnak with 5:09 remaining, but the best chance was a Viktor Arvidsson backhand from the mid-slot. Boston pulled Joonas Korpisalo for an extra attacker but could not score against Vitek Vanecek. Marco Sturm adjusted the lineup, benching Pastrnak late in the previous game, scratching Casey Mittelstadt, moving Pavel Zacha to center, and re-inserting Marat Khusnutdinov for speed.
