Morgan Geekie left a Saturday matinee Bruins game after the first period to attend to a family matter when his wife went into labor while watching at TD Garden. The couple left the arena and later welcomed a healthy baby boy, Max, that evening. The family includes an older daughter, Gabby. Geekie missed the following day's 1-0 win over Pittsburgh but returned to the lineup for Tuesday's home game against Detroit. The 27-year-old forward has gone nine straight games without a goal and hopes the recent events and brief time away provide a clean slate to return to the scoresheet.
