Bexley school crowned champions at Bexley Athletics Championships

St Columba's Catholic Boys' School emerged victorious at the Bexley Senior Athletics Championships, dominating the competition amongst 14 secondary schools with standout performances. The school’s Year 9 team won five gold and four silver medals, while the Year 10 team claimed four golds, five silvers, and two bronzes. Key athletes included Jamie, who won gold in high jump, Tobi, excelling in long jump, and Harrison, who excelled in both 1500m and javelin. Wayne Virgo, head of PE at St Columba's, stated, "It was simply the most commanding display by any school I have witnessed at the Bexley Championships in the seven years I have been here."

Tobi's dual success included gold in the long jump and silver in the 800m, showcasing his exceptional talent across multiple disciplines.
Frederick's performance in the discus earned him silver, while his bronze in the 100m demonstrated his competitive spirit amidst strong peer competition.
