"I think (legacy) is always in the back of your mind, even at the beginning of my career," Mahomes said. "But, at the end of the day, it's about taking it a day at a time... just continuing to do that."
"That's something that I've been conscious of, knowing how blessed I am to be in Kansas City and have all these great players around me. Having Tom, a guy like that say that, it just motivates me even more."
Mahomes said he and Brady have spoken a "good amount" during the offseason... Now, with Brady retired, they've been able to build on their relationship.
