Paul Pierce, during an episode of FS1's Speak, pledged to walk 15 miles to work if the Boston Celtics lost their playoff game against the New York Knicks. After the Celtics' defeat in Game 2, he honored that promise, sharing his journey live on Instagram. He documented his experience from early morning when he set off, through moments of fatigue and support from fans, to his reflection on accomplishment upon arriving at the studio. Pierce's journey stood out as both an entertaining and genuine display of commitment.
"Welcome to this journey, here I go," he said in the dark of the early morning.
"I accomplished something great, dog," he said. "That was an accomplishment at the end of the day."
