Medford has partnered with Transom Real Estate to revitalize three vacant lots in Medford Square. The project aims to create a mixed-use space featuring 283 apartments, 56 of which will be affordable housing. Additionally, plans include a 13,500-square-foot grocery store, a local café, and 567 parking spotsâ184 more than currently available. The initiative supports local needs as detailed in the cityâs 2023 Comprehensive Plan and emphasizes pedestrian-friendly infrastructure while promoting public art. The construction is expected to begin in late 2024, with the opening planned for September 2028.
