"For years, the seller operated a highly successful movie theatre chain throughout the region with Randolph serving as one of the chain's most productive sites in all of New England."
"The site features tremendous infrastructure and access to the communities south of Boston, which will present the buyer with optionality on how they elect to reenvision the site."
The Showcase Cinema de Lux Randolph has been sold for $9 million to Core Investments, a Boston-based real estate developer. The new owner is in discussions with a potential tenant but has not disclosed future plans. The cinema, which opened in 1997, spans 112,265 square feet and was a successful location for National Amusements. The site is strategically located along Route 139, offering various redevelopment options. The cinema closed on March 1, leaving National Amusements with only seven locations in Massachusetts.
