"Lenyn Sosa, acquired from the Chicago White Sox, has been activated by the Toronto Blue Jays and will be available off the bench against the Brewers."
"Sosa struggled at the plate prior to the trade, hitting 7-for-33 with three RBIs, but had a career year last season with 22 home runs and 75 RBIs."
"The right-handed-hitting infielder has experience at first, second, and third base, as well as shortstop, and made seven of his 10 starts this season at designated hitter."
"Sosa's ability to maximize launch angle and pull fly balls contributed to his power surge last season, making him an interesting addition to the Blue Jays lineup."
Lenyn Sosa has officially joined the Toronto Blue Jays roster ahead of their game against the Milwaukee Brewers. To accommodate his activation, utility player Tyler Fitzgerald has been sent to Triple-A Buffalo. Sosa was acquired from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for outfield prospect Jordan Rich. Despite struggling earlier this season, Sosa had a strong performance last year, hitting 22 home runs and driving in 75 runs. His versatility in the infield and designated hitter role will be valuable until Addison Barger returns from injury.
