The Greenville Drive lost to the Greensboro Grasshoppers 9-5 in 11 innings after a dramatic comeback. Freili Encarnacion hit a three-run home run in the ninth to tie the game. Both teams scored in the tenth, but the Grasshoppers pulled ahead with five runs in the eleventh. Juan Valera started for the Drive, striking out seven in 3 1/3 innings.
